Shiro Utsuri
The Shiro Utsuri, or "white" Utsuri, is a jet black fish with white markings.
"Utsuri" means "reflections" in Japanese, and the pattern of a good Utsuri should be roughly inverted across the fish's back, almost like a checkerboard.
Proper placement of pond de-icers is crucial to optimum performance. Make sure you follow the manufacturer's instructions. The de-icer should generally be placed at the edge of the pond in a shallow area.
