SedateSafe is a reliable koi sedative designed to make handling and treatment safer and less stressful for both fish and keeper.
It's ideal for situations where you need your koi calm and still — such as health inspections, ulcer care, injections, scraping/scoping, or other short procedures where excessive movement increases risk.
SedateSafe provides smooth, controlled sedation when used as directed, helping reduce stress and physical injury during hands-on care.
Directions for Use
- Measure Dose: Use 2.0–3.0 mL per gallon for light sedation, or 3.0–4.0 mL per gallon for deeper sedation.
- Mix Solution: Add SedateSafe to clean water at the same temperature as the koi's pond or tank. Stir thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
- Introduce Koi: Gently place the koi into the solution. Sedation typically begins within 2–5 minutes.
- Monitor Closely: Never leave the koi unattended. Do not keep koi in the solution longer than 15 minutes.
- Recovery: Transfer the koi immediately into fresh, well-oxygenated water. Monitor until full recovery and normal swimming returns.
