This essential flat o-ring gasket provides critical protection for your delicate quartz sleeve inside your Matala stainless steel UV clarifier. Designed to fit all Matala UV models (40W, 75W, 150W, and 300W), this protective cushion prevents direct contact between the fragile quartz glass and the hard stainless steel UV body.
Important: Understanding Its Purpose
This flat o-ring gasket is NOT a sealing component - it does not create a watertight seal. Instead, it acts as a protective cushion between the quartz sleeve and the stainless steel housing. For sealing your quartz sleeve against water leaks, you must use the round Viton o-rings (sold separately or included with new quartz sleeves).

Replace these protective gaskets if they appear compressed, hardened, or cracked, when installing a new quartz sleeve, during annual UV maintenance, or if you notice the quartz sleeve rattling or moving excessively inside the UV body. Fresh flat-ring packings ensure your expensive quartz sleeve stays protected.
Important Note: If you're purchasing a new Matala quartz sleeve, it already comes with all necessary o-rings and flat-ring packings included. These individual flat-ring packings are for replacement purposes when servicing existing quartz sleeves or performing routine maintenance.
