This essential Viton o-ring creates the critical watertight seal that keeps your Matala stainless steel UV clarifier operating leak-free. Designed to fit all Matala UV models (40W, 75W, 150W, and 300W), this round sealing o-ring is placed on the quartz sleeve to seal between the end cap and sleeve, preventing water from escaping the UV chamber.
Important: Understanding Its Purpose
This Viton o-ring IS your primary sealing component - it creates the watertight seal that prevents leaks. This is different from the flat o-ring gasket (sold separately), which only provides protective cushioning and does NOT seal against water. For proper UV operation, you need BOTH the Viton sealing o-rings AND the flat protective gaskets.
